There is a saying in Japan that good Niigata sake should taste of "nothing but snow". Kirinzan Yukinoshita (beneath the snow) is all about restraint and purity. The palate displays a tease of pear, peach, fresh almond and white flowers and barely touches the tongue leading to a super clean and short finish. If you love dry, lean sake this will become a fast favourite.
The above tasting notes are for drinking chilled. This sake can also be warmed to about 45c.
